In Poseidon's Realm XIX
Life by water and waterside
Reading this title (of the 19th International DEGUWA Conference „In Poseidon’s Realm“), you will probably remember at once the famous pile dwellings of the Alpine lakes, the crannogs of the Scottish lochs, the artificial mounds on the small islands in the North Sea off the German coast or the man-made platforms in the lagoons of Northern Italy.
Considering the "Pfahlbaumuseum" as conference venue also papers dealing with problems of imparting knowledge and understanding in underwater archaeology - especially in lake dwellings as part of the Cultural Heritage of the World - has been considered.
